Principal Message:

Dear Students, Families and Community Members,

As I begin the 2016-2017 school year as Principal at Madison, I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our children. We will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all children and providing supportive systems to assure they are met. By addressing school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, increased academic expectations for all students and engaging the community, it is our goal at Madison that all students are on the pathway to be college or career ready. The caring and dedicated faculty and staff at Madison will continue to encourage all students to set high goals for themselves and to reach for their dreams. Our staff goals this year include developing higher levels of thinking and learning and higher levels of engagement opportunities.

This year brings new important changes to our school:

*First Day of School is August 9th

*Bell Times: 8:15 AM – 2:57 PM (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)

*Bell Times Early Out:  8:15 AM – 12:57 PM (Wednesday)

*Uniforms to be worn everyday

*Back To School Night, August 11th, 5:30 PM- 700 PM. Your attendance is very important!

*Welcome to “The Center” After School Program

It is my hope that all students get involved and show pride in their school. Working together, we can ensure that the students of Madison continue to achieve their highest potential in the classroom, and on campus.  Your involvement, partnership and support are greatly appreciated during the school year as we work to build and maintain our programs. I encourage all of you to volunteer in some capacity; whether it be joining the PTO, School Site Council, DELAC, D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students) or just helping out in the classroom, cafeteria or playground

I sincerely hope you will take time to look through our web pages (www.twinriversusd.org) and learn about the opportunities available to all students who are members of our Madison family.  We believe our students' years at Madison are their opportunity to become scholars and champions!

I am confident that this will be an outstanding school year and look forward to working with the staff and community to continue the Madison tradition of academic excellence!

In Education,

Troy Holding
